DMWYD Trick Titles
Earning DMWYD Trick Titles is easy! Follow the steps below to earn any level of DMWYD Trick Title!
1. Review trick list
Click the button for the level you are applying for, and make sure your dog can do the required number of tricks.
Novice Trick Dog (NTD) : 15 tricks (Adv/Exp count as 2 tricks if not lured). Luring allowed on half of tricks.
Intermediate Trick Dog (ITD) : 12 Intermediate or higher tricks (Adv/Exp count as 2 if not lured). OK to re-use a trick from previous title. Lures on no more than 25% of tricks.
Advanced Trick Dog (ATD) : 5 Advanced or higher tricks. All off-leash. Pointed finger is OK, but no treat/toy lures. Multiple cues OK.
Expert Trick Dog (ETD) : 5 Expert tricks.
2. Record and upload your video
Film a video of your dog performing each trick ONCE. Videos do not have to be filmed in a single take (except for ETD) and can have multiple “cuts.” Labeling tricks on the video is helpful to me, but not required.
Once you’ve finished your video, upload it to Youtube or Vimeo to get a shareable link. Make sure your video is set to either “Public” or “Unlisted” so I am able to watch it.
3. Submit your video for evaluation
4. Submit for title from DMWYD
After I evaluate your video, I will email you! Then you can submit to Do More With Your Dog for official recognition!
The evaluation fee covers my time for evaluating each title.
The DMWYD fee covers recording time as well as the certificate they will mail directly to you.
